MAX Factor - Say Goodbye, America!

Lazy Sunday...gotta love it. Days filled with shopping you don't need to do, time to try new eyeshadow experiments, and of course, learning that one of your favorite make up companies will no longer be distributed in the United States...what!?

Shopping in Harmon with my mother today brought me to a startling reality: MAX Factor is no longer going to be sold in America. Every uniquely colored eyeshadow pallet, duo mascara and lipstick had a horrifying yellow sticker on it..."If you like MAX Factor, you're going to love Cover Girl!" No offense to Cover Girl, I completely enjoy their mascaras and eye liners on occasion, but why!? My crazy colors for my GaGa inspired nights was coming to a crashing halt, and I needed to stock up NOW.

My favorite product from MAX Factor has been the Vivid Impact Highlighting Mascara, an original dual mascara set, one with a 'base' color (entire lash), and the other a 'highlighting' color (for the tips of the lashes). The colors I purchased included:
Blushing Blue - Electric blue and hot pink highlighter
Burning Bordeaux - Crimson red and bright red highlighter
Moonlit Black - Charcoal grey and shimmering silver highlighter

My favorite thing about these interesting mascaras is the way they make your eyes pop. My light blue eyes are sometimes hard to work with bright colors, especially blues (kind of kills the vibrance of my eyes), but I love pairing these with natural shadows. Subtle shadows and bright mascaras make your eyes pop right off your face!

For a clubbing night, try pairing the dazzling mascara duos with greys and silvers. Experiment with matte and shimmer looks, see which one you prefer! I love working these with dark matte hues, it makes batting my lashes in the strobe lights so much more effective.

Along with the mascaras, I bought interesting eyeshadow trios that had colors I wouldn't normally reach for. The wet/dry eyeshadows included Ravenous, a safari style color pallet, Pajama Party, light blues and purples, and African Violet, an all over the color spectrum steal. Tried Pajama Party when I got home, and absolutely loved it. Can't wait to try the rest!
Stock up on all the MAX Factor you're going to need, ladies! I know I did!

MAX, you will be missed...
